11月20日晚7時許，南漳縣城鳳凰大道在建工地金漳國際大酒店，澆筑門庭天井頂層時，腳手架突然倒塌，剛剛澆筑的100多平方米混凝土，從5樓傾瀉而下，將部分工人掩埋（本報昨日曾報道）。事發時有13人在5樓作業，1人當場成功逃生，首批救出的5人在院治療，另7人不幸身亡。截至記者發稿，善后處置工作仍在緊張有序開展，相關責任人被警方控制。
43歲的段國成眼睛都熬紅了，他拼命地和其他人一起往返抽鋼管，一趟又一趟。相比同在五樓作業的工友們，他是幸運的。坍塌的那一瞬，他抱住了漏斗，毫發無損地獲救。消防、衛生、安監、公安、建設等部門救援人員陸續呼嘯而來。
